Tribeca Film Festival gets a foursquare badge and exclusive badgeholder rewards
The Tribeca Film Festival begins today in New York. Thanks to foursquare’s partnership with American Express (presenting sponsor of the film festival), foursquare users will be able to unlock a special Tribeca Film Festival badge, along with exclusive rewards just for badgeholders.
To earn the badge, you’ll need to follow Tribeca Film Festival on foursquare and check in at any of the festival venues during an event. The unlock text reads:
You are a serious film lover! This badge entitles you to get exclusive Tribeca Film Festival rewards. To learn more about TFF rewards, specials, and events, go to tribecafilm.com/maps
That maps page takes you to a map of the different Film Festival locations that shows when and where the events are taking place. It also lists restaurants and bars that have partnered to offer discounts on drinks made with Bombay Sapphire Gin, the sponsor of the map and foursquare rewards. You can add any venue directly to your foursquare to-do list with the built-in “add to foursquare” buttons.
Badgeholders are also eligible to win tickets to an exclusive screen sponsored by Bombay Sapphire. They can also get an exclusive gift with the purchase of Tribeca Film Festival Merchandise.
This is the way a badge partnership should be done, with exclusive rewards and specials just for badgeholders. The integration with the festival map is also a nice plus.
What do you think of the badge?
