TIME partners with foursquare for badges for both political conventions
TIME announced this morning that they’ve partnered with foursquare to offer badges for attendees of this summer’s political conventions.
The Republican National Convention takes places August 27–30 in Tampa, while the Democratic National Convention will be held in Charlotte, September 3–5. This is easily the most advanced notice we’ve ever received for a foursquare badge.
TIME’s foursquare page will offer curated lists highlighting “must-attend venues and events, as well as convention tips from TIME’s expert political reporting team.” They’ll also be reporting the foursquare check-ins of newsmakers, reporters and VIPs as they check in around the conventions.
Until the conventions begin, foursquare users can check out TIME’s page for tips at places associated with some of their iconic magazine covers from the past, like this one they’ve left at Disneyland:
Walt Disney first appeared on TIME’s cover in 1937, where a cover story peeked inside the man & mouse operation to reveal the artistry behind Disney’s films.
These badges should make a fun way for attendees to commemorate their trips to the conventions and participating in our political process.
