Three new brand profiles are now active on foursquare: the National Wildlife Federation, LA’s 987 FM and VisitMilwaukee.
The National Wildlife Federation is providing tips on the best places to see wildlife around the country, from the sea lions at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco to the butterflies at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in New York.
LA’s 987 FM has joined up with foursquare to provide tips on the hottest spots in Southern California. On their profile page, they say:
…check out some of L.A.’s raddest music venues. Looking for a place to eat after the show? A great deal on used vinyl? Where to find the stiffest drinks Downtown, on the Westside or in the Valley? We’ve got you covered with our Foursquare hit list.
VisitMilwaukee‘s foursquare profile is a little different from all the rest; it doesn’t provide any tips (at least at this point). They’re using their foursquare “friends” to populate a nice-looking map of recent checkins on their website along with a space on their social media page showing the most recent checkin. Oddly, these checkins don’t have to be anywhere near Milwaukee; when you zoom the map out you’ll see checkins as far away as New York, California and Europe.
