The “Olympic Ticket” badge could be your ticket to Olympic tickets
With the Olympics kicking off in just eight days, the IOC has partnered with foursquare to offer a new badge that offers a chance to win tickets to Olympic events.
To unlock the badge, users will need to follow the Olympics on foursquare and check in to “off-site venues” around London. The venues will be announced when the badge launches on July 26. Badgeholders will be entered into a daily drawing to win passes to Olympic events.
The badge is the second from the Olympics, following the Olympic Day badge that premiered in May. It comes as part of a major push they’re making in social media to get ready for the games, which includes an Olympic Athletes Hub that aggregates athletes’ posts on Facebook and Twitter and photos from Instagram. They’re also set to launch a number of Tumblr pages and a Google+ profile.
What do you think of the badge?
