Tell photo stories with Backspaces
Everyone’s used Instagram. It’s great for sharing a single photo, but if you share more than one, they quickly become disconnected from each other, making it impossible to tell a story.
Backspaces is a new app that picks up where Instagram leaves off, letting you tell stories with your photos and words. They can then be shared to Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr just as you would with Instagram, but in a nice package that’s tied together.
You’ll find filters, of course, and each photo can be tagged with a separate location from Foursquare. Backspaces allows you to add captions, or you can opt for longer blocks of text to go along with your images. It’s easy to move photos and text around to find the best arrangement to tell your story.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed going through the featured stories. There are some incredibly creative people on Backspaces who have a way with both words and photos.
You can also search by topic since hashtags are popular on Backspaces just as they are on Instagram.
As someone who rarely takes a single photo of anything, I like Backspaces for tying them all together into a nice package that I can share with friends instead of the one-off nature of Instagram.
Backspaces is free on the iTunes app store. Give it a try and let us know what you think in the comments.
