Shoe fan? Show it off with foursquare’s new Kicks badge
There could finally be a badge that convinces my wife to join foursquare. As a shoe fan, she might actually be excited to show off the new Kicks badge. It honors shoe experts worldwide.
We don’t know exactly what it will take to earn the badge, but I’d say exploring your local shoe stores is a pretty good place to start. The unlock text reads:
You’re not loafing around! There’s nothing wrong with spending half your paycheck on the latest Yeezys. Or Jimmy Choos, or Air Jordan Space Jams, or Marty McFly Air Mags… Just no Crocs, ok? Only Mario Batali can pull those off.
I have to give foursquare credit for the tweet tag on this badge, too. It simply says “Shoe-pendous!” That foursquare team is always pretty clever.

I think the only real shoe stores we have around here are Shoe Department and Payless…
None the less, I’m sure I can make a trip to one of them to pick up a new badge at some point!
Finally… A new core badge that doesnt want to make me fat while earning it! (i.e. Greasy Spoon, Flame Broiled)
I just got this badge by checking in to somewhere labeled “shoe store.”
Is it an expertise badge, or a regular one?

I love this badge just as much as I loved the Mall Rat badge. It helps that we have a DSW around so I can earn it at some point.
It appears that the *primary* category must be Shoe Store. I checked into a department store about an hr ago- shoe store is listed as a category, and it was something like my 90th all time check in there, but I did not earn the new badge.
It’s always the primary category for badges. The other categories are there just for identification purposes.
Still trying to get this. I heard someone got it on their 13th check in. Always love a new badge!
THAT’S why I see all these Shoe stores popping up on trending. There’s a group of around 20 jumpers, jumping form store to store.Hilarious.
And all 20 of them just unlocked the badge at Aldo.
Just checked in Payless and got the Mall Rat badge. This is why I love badges. I love getting something unexpected! Still on the hunt for the Kicks badge…
I’ve got 100+ pairs of shoes…like I really need another excuse to go shoe shopping. Don’t get me wrong…I WANT THIS BADGE!

Are they properly categorized as Shoe Store? I’m not sure how many it would take to unlock – but that’s the first thing to check.
