Seoul, South Korea nabs a foursquare city badge

A new foursquare city badge launched today for Seoul, South Korea, one of the winners of foursquare’s international city badge contest. To unlock the badge, users need to check in at five of foursquare’s recommended spots in the city. The list was curated by local user Jaehyeon P. The unlock text reads:

Time to shop ‘til you drop! After returning from Myeongdong, head to Cheonggyecheon for a casual stroll or bike along the Han river. Ready to chow down? Stuff yourself with street food at the Pojangmacha, or head to a hof for bulgogi. Daebak!

The badge, featuring a dragon (UPDATE: My bad, it’s not a dragon; see comment below), is one of the nicest looking in the city badge series. What do you think of the badge?

    That actually not a dragon, but a mythical creature called Haechi, guardian against fire and disaster. It was elected Seoul’s symbol back in 2008 by the city government. It’s a horned lion-like beast.
