Red Robin launches Foursquare checkin special — with the same deal they give everyone else

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has become the first major national restaurant chain to launch a checkin special on Foursquare. Any Foursquare user who shows their server they’ve checked in will receive either a Big Melt Bacon Burger or a Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich for $6.99. (UPDATE: Strangely, both sandwiches are offered at the same price on their website without checking in to Foursquare.)

The neat thing about this offer is that — unlike the Starbucks mayor special — every customer who checks in is eligible for this special deal. Rather than rewarding the most loyal customers, this kind of special is good for driving traffic through the door as users see the “special nearby” icon pop up when they check in to nearby venues.

This offer is only available at select locations. Search for Red Robin restaurants in your area to see if they’re offering the special.
