Just in time for the holidays, RadioShack launches the So Right badge
RadioShack’s holiday campaigns are starting to become an annual tradition around here. Last year it was their Holiday Hero badge to go along with their Holiday Heroes theme; this year it’s the new So Right badge, which (obviously) aligns perfectly with their So Right theme. It’s aimed at fostering more social responsibility.
Users can unlock it by following RadioShack and checking in at holiday hotspots (“think buying, saving, giving, shaping up and celebrating”) and then at a RadioShack store. For each badge earned, RadioShack will donate $1 to LIVESTRONG, the cancer charity founded by RadioShack spokesman and biking superstar Lance Armstrong.
The badge is available today through December 31.
RadioShack won top honors in the “Business to Consumer North America: Energizing” category at the Forrester Groundswell Awards for last year’s Holiday Heroes social media campaign, which included the foursquare badge. In 60 days they went from zero foursquare followers to almost 20,000 thanks to the badge. Since then, they’ve continued to offer discounts and rewards at their stores nationwide. Their page was swelled to more than 55,000 followers.
What do you think of the new RadioShack badge?
