People Magazine points you toward celebrity hot spots on foursquare

Want to know where the celebrities hang out? People Magazine has the answer and they’re sharing it on foursquare. They’re the latest large media brand to add tips to foursquare. Check in at the right spots and you could earn the People Hot Spot badge.

People is pointing out the spots where celebrities like to dine, party, shop and sleep. All the tips they’ve added so far are in NY and LA, like this one at Dos Caminos:

Made-to-order tableside guac and a 100-plus tequila list keep stars like Jessica Simpson dipping in. Tip: Snag a sidewalk seat at their spanking-new Hudson Street location for good people-watching.

It looks like Hot Spot may not be their only badge. Earlier today they tweeted: “Wanna party like a star? Find us on @Foursquare & get our celeb hot spot tips. Let us know if you unlock our badges!”

UPDATE (8/28): Another new People badge has popped up: People VIP. It’s unclear what it takes to earn this badge.
