My first year on foursquare [Infographic]
Today marks the one year anniversary of my first checkin on foursquare. I fell in love with the service almost immediately and it’s been a pretty wild ride ever since. Foursquare has grown tremendously and this blog has grown right along with it. Thanks to foursquare, I’ve met lots of great people all over the world and I’d like to thank each of you for your support.
Inspired by foursquare’s 2010 recap, I decided to create an infographic of my own. So without further ado — and with sincere apologies to foursquare designer Matthew Healy — here’s my first year on foursquare (click for a larger view).

Nice job Chris, love it!
116 visits at Dunkin’ Donuts – wow. Nice design
Congrats Chris. I think that it’s cool that you’ve been to MAC more times than Chipolte.
Sweet! Even I want one… foursquare should let us all create one.
My first checkin was on March 13 2009
great job Jess3! just one question: is your cholesterol ok after all those burritos?
JESS3 is a great sponsor of the blog, but they didn’t create the graphic. I was all on my own on that one!
And, no, I’m sure it’s not.
I don’t think Chris unlocked the “Gym Rat” badge. Just kidding, Chris. Don’t fire me from the podcast!
No, I keep getting to 8 or 9 times in a month and then something happens that screws up those last few visits.
Hey congrats on that!
Nicely done, Chris! Are these the stats for the About Foursquare account, your personal one, or both combined?
Just my personal account.
How do I make an info graphic like this from my account – I’m coming up on my 1 year as well?
Now if only we knew how to make one ourselves
Or at least the template/ where the hell did you find all the info?! I wish 4sq gave us the year option, or something more than a month in our stats
Great! Everyone wants a info like this jaja. Happy 4sqBD!
Nice work on the info graphic, who designed it? It’s a beaut!
I did it, with obvious design “inspiration” from the foursquare 2010 infographic.
awesome infographic
love the chart design!
How do you know what your user number is?
I was wondering about that too
I can tell on my Android App, Check “Settings” then choose “Profile”
Mine is 844238.
Login in on the website & hit the “me” tab. you’ll see: http://foursquare.com/user/xxxxxx.
That doesn’t work for everyone, in my case the “Me” tab is: http://foursquare.com/raitchison
Maybe has something to do with when you registered?
If you’ve linked your account to Twitter, you no longer go by your user number, but your Twitter name instead.
What is the badge between the baggage handler badge and the (Red) badge? It’s yellow-orange with a hand and some animal in the palm?
Actually, what is the badge right above that, too? The orange one with the hand and the bird.
They’re both Health Month badges from http://healthmonth.com
Do they have something equivalent to the Eagle Scout level? If so, you’ve finally made it!! Mom will be proud.
This is actually really cool!
My 1 year is coming up in April, I should do something like this (but I probably won’t)
Looks like you got tired of Healthmonth’s BS before getting all four badges (just like I did) lolol
Also don’t see a Runkeeper Overachiever badge – mine wouldn’t unlock either.
Moral of the story? Third-party app badges (except for the Waze Road Warrior) SUCK.
I got it.
Cool that you can see you’re User ID so you know wich number you are! It is also viewable in the iPhone app. Under ‘Profile, settings, account details’. Mine is 61391
50146. That makes me a huge dork!
I love this. And I agree that Foursquare needs to add a check-ins for the year function.
Mine is 33318. Even though my 4sq anniversary is this Friday, I had registered well before I had a device that could make good use of it (and when you could only pick a handful of cities).
OK Chris where did you get all your info from? Did you manually go back in your history?
I just posted a rundown of where I found each piece of data. You can read it here:

That link just takes me to the homepage
Nevermind. Seems to be working now
That’s awesome. Wish I had the patience/skills to do that.
P.S. My number is 312864.
And so, I decided to make one for the first time…

Awesome infographic! My number is 236281 !
Great job on the infographic!
I feel slightly archaic with user number 111382
i may make my own infographic now… hmmm..
Just throwing mine on this pile of crazy…
I went a different way completely as far as the look is concerned – but here it is:

[...] with credit to both foursquare and About Foursquare for the ideas… I present to you, my crazy foursquare profile infographic: ack154 on [...]
Great job! I’ve really appreciated it…and I’ve drawn my own, inspiring to yours.
Here it is:

(there is an italian and an english version)
I felt a bit “amazed” going back til january 2010 and exactly remember a moment thanks to the link offered by the checkin in a venue.
Thank you for inspiring me.
What I’d like to know is how you can possibly eat at Moe’s nearly as many times as Chipotle. It’s not even a contest which is better!
I agree. What I didn’t mention is that of the 74 burrito checkins, 25 were at Moe’s, but the other 45 were spread across 5 different Chipotles
The one with 29 just happens to be the one I visit most often.
Whew. That’s comforting. If I ever moved back to Cincy, I think that would revive my strong competition between Chipotle and Skyline.
