Foursquare for BlackberryFoursquare offers mobile apps for four major platforms, but third party developers have used Foursquare’s API to create a wide variety of apps that both compete with the official apps and extend Foursquare’s functionality to other platforms. Here’s a rundown of the different apps that are available, grouped by platform:

iPhone

Blackberry

Android

Palm

Windows Mobile

Windows Phone 7

Apple just approved our with our new app, Mappr, now available in the App Store.

For the long description, check out http://cartomapic.com/mappr-help/

    But in short:

-Map-oriented view: See the most interesting places around you

-Group Checkins: Sharing great places with not just your friends, but people with shared interests.

And great website to see it all too, at http://map.pr

We just launched Footfeed, the first multi check-in app for iPhone, and would appreciate if you would include it in the API Apps section of your site.

To learn more about Footfeed, visit http://www.footfeed.com or download the app from iTunes at http://bit.ly/bIrw0r.

    Thanks

TweetDeck for Android is technically still in Beta (beta 3, currently) but it will offer rather extensive 4sq integration:

Thanks, I’ve been waiting until the official release to move it to this page. It looks like it will be pretty neat. I’m hoping the features jump to the iPhone app soon (or any features, really, since it crashes every time I launch it).

I’ve been using picplz for Android. It’s a camera app that uses the GPS location embedded by your phone to determine your location. Once you take a picture it pulls up venues and so you can check-in to Foursquare.

Your check-in includes a link to your picture and there’s an option to share it on Twitter and Facebook at the same time.

Apparently WinMoSquare has somehow ceased to exist – the application is no longer available at Windows Marketplace and I saw user complaints that development stopped as well.

You should update the list and include MySquare (http://risingmobility.com/mysquare/) for Windows Mobile instead.

    Hey Chris,

Don’t forget about our location-based social automotive app – the Foursquare API has been integrated as well!

Check in & share your location while sharing pics of cool rides! http://budurl.com/carzar

An app that has not made it on your list that uses foursquare.

    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/happy-star-rewards/id408121669?mt=8

This is an app for Carl’s Jr or Hardees depending on your location. It gives you free stuff and will check you in on foursquare. It will even create the venue if it can’t find it in the foursquare database.
