		<description><![CDATA[My personal take is that foursquare is slowly getting out of the badge business. Almost everything they&#039;ve released recently has been necessitated by old commitments. For foursquare, badges are nothing more than a way to onboard users and get them hooked on the act of checking in (thereby collecting boatloads of check-in data). They don&#039;t need to continually release new badges to do that. For the most part, the ones that exist are enough to get users hooked.]]></description>
