Join the Pee-wee Parade to score your Pee-wee badge and a free gift
Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley is a big fan of Pee-wee Herman, and apparently Pee-wee is a big fan of foursquare. He’s just embarked on a big adventure around New York called the Pee-wee Parade. Foursquare users who friend Pee-wee on foursquare and check in twice at the locations he visits in New York will earn their Pee-wee badge.
As Pee-wee tweeted earlier, “The word of the day is @foursquare! I’m spending the day roaming NYC – checking in all over so you all can meet up, say hi & earn my badge!”
His first stop is at the Brooklyn Bridge around 10:30 am. He’ll be revealing the rest of the stops through Twitter and foursquare.
The unlock text of the badge reads:
Good morning boys and girls! Welcome to the Pee-wee parade! Bring this badge to the Sondheim Theatre box office @ 124 West 43rd and SCREAM REAL LOUD for a surprise from Pee-wee (while supplies last).

It just figures that the Pee-Wee Herman badge would be available a couple of days AFTER I’ve left NYC. (The 11-hour outage during my last day there was bad enough!)
My girlfriend just unlocked it- looks like you need 2 checkins with PeeWee to earn the badge.
Come on guys how are the rest of us going to be able to earn this one. There should be a loophole for this one.

So I’m gonna sit over here in Atlanta and wonder when we’re going to get some cool badges, or if 4sq is only going to care about NYC users for the rest of it’s career. I’d murder someone’s wife for the pee wee and green lantern badge….well maybe not murder…but slapping around is a definite possibility…
…am i to assume that it is generally frowned upon to cheat for this badge? because I’M ABOUT TO, the hell w NYCentric 4sqr and the rules!!! (Relax Walter, I don’t wanna hear a peep out of you, you ARE the only one who gives a shit about the rules.)
Eh… it’s kind of frowned upon to “cheat” for any badge. But there are a couple caveats…
1) You’re OK if you live in Indonesia.
2) Who says it’s cheating if there are no specific “rules”? (see caveat #1)

you just need to know little hints and trick, and those cool badges could be unlocking everywhere in this world, just that. Guess that Indonesian people are smarter then because they can found out that sneaky little trick rather than most of you, people.

I’ve been trying to figure out if you actually think using the mobile Foursquare website is actually a “trick” … or if you really think I’m that dumb.
Of course we know how to get the badges! But the point is that those of you in Indonesia that are “cheating” to get all of the badges are all doing it wrong. I understand that it is considered just a “game” to you to collect all of the badges… and that’s fine. But that is not the intention of the service. I could have every single badge if I wanted to… but I don’t. Because I like using Foursquare the way that it was intended to be used. That is, being physically at the location I’m checking in. Anything else is just cheating. if Foursquare themselves won’t say that it is, I will.
I got the badge but it never showed up on my 4sq page. So sad…

Both of these locations are listed as places visited by Pee Wee yet I did not earn the badge.
This was valid during the Pee Wee Parade on 10/7. The badge is now for checking in to his show on Broadway.
I checked-in at the Steven Sondheim Theater where Pee Wee’s show is performed and did not earn a badge.
Are you saying that you have to check-in at that theater during a performance?
