Join the Dew Tour on Foursquare for a badge, tips and discounts

The Dew Tour, an action sports championship event, is partnering with Foursquare to provide tips in each city the tour stops in. They’ll be highlighting everything from the best skate shops to places to grab a bite to eat near the event. Many of the tips feature exclusive discounts for Foursquare users who check in at the venue.

Their first stop is in Boston this weekend for Skate Open 2010. They’ve already posted several tips around Boston, like this one at Red Sky Restaurant and Lounge:

Foursquare users who follow their profile will see the tips pop up on their phone when they check in at or near venues where the Dew Tour has left tips. Other users can see the tips in their “nearby tips” list or on the Foursquare website.

The Dew Tour features skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross events. Each tour stop includes live concerts with top artists and a festival area featuring products for fans to try out. This year the tour will be making stops in the following cities:

• Skate Open 2010, Jun 25-26 — Boston, MA
• Nike 6.0 BMX Open 2010, Jul 23-24 — Chicago, IL
• Wendy’s Invitational 2010, Aug 12-15 — Portland, OR
• Toyota Challenge 2010, Sep 16-19 — Salt Lake City, UT
• Dew Tour Championships 2010, Oct 14-17 — Las Vegas, NV

UPDATE (6/24): There’s also a Dew Tour Super Fan badge associated with the partnership. You can unlock it by checking in to multiple venues where the Dew Tour has left tips. You can show the badge at the Alli Shop to redeem a free pair of sunglasses.
