Check in at 16,000+ locations to win prizes and discounts from Jason Aldean and Wrangler
Country superstar Jason Aldean has launched an innovative “Check in to the Party” contest that rewards fans who check in at his concerts and places that sell his music or Wrangler jeans (who’s sponsoring the promotion). By linking their foursquare accounts, fans can win concert tickets or other Aldean and Wrangler prize packs.
The contest monitors checkins by foursquare users who’ve registered on the site at more than 16,000 locations. The locations include stores that sell Wrangler jeans and stops on Aldean’s current tour. They also include national retailers such as Borders, Walmart, Target, Kmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Best Buy.
Each checkin earns points. The fan with the most points will win the grand prize of concert tickets and a meet and greet with Aldean. Other prizes include an iPad loaded with his music, a Wrangler shopping spree and an Aldean prize pack. At certain point levels, fans can unlock Wrangler discounts, free digital downloads and memberships to the Jason Aldean fan club.
Checking in at Aldean’s concerts would have put a lot of limits on the program that were erased when Wrangler came on as a partner. “With a brand partner, all of a sudden we have all these retail partners where people can check in for Jason, which adds to the whole experience,” said Amanda Cates, Director of Digital Marketing, Spalding Entertainment, which represents Aldean in an interview with Cybergrass.com. “You don’t have to be at a Jason show. You can be in a Wrangler store or even go to Wrangler online and check in for Jason there and participate.”
In addition to foursquare, the contest is open to users of Facebook Places and Gowalla.
