The Intel WiMAX Wanderer is making its way across the US and checking in at each stop along the way. You can follow its journey on foursquare and take a picture if you find it for a chance to win prizes.
Starting today, the Wanderer will visit Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, Austin and Dallas before wrapping up in Houston on October 9. When it stops in each city, the location will be posted to foursquare, Facebook and Twitter. If you find it, you could win instant prizes. Take a picture at one of the locations and upload it to YFrog (with the #IntelWiMAX hashtag) for a chance to win. If you’re not in one of the participating cities you can still participate by uploading a photo taken at a WiMAX hotspot.
The grand prize package includes portable solar speakers, a Flip Ultra HD, a Dell laptop, laptop bag, Canon EOS Rebel T1I, a Canon portable photo printer, Beats headphones, a Solio solar charger, a 2TB external hard drive, and a Suunto X10 watch. 15 runners-up will receive a Dell laptop.
Intel WiMAX is 4G network technology designed to enable pervasive, high-speed networking for all sort of mobile devices. It’s the technology that powers Clear, which is available in more than 50 cities around the US.
If you’re in one of these cities, do you plan to track down the WiMAX Wanderer and enter the contest?
