How do I correct the information for a venue?
If you are the mayor of a venue (or the venue originator if there’s no mayor) you can make corrections to the name, address, phone number, Twitter and map pin location on your own; simply click the pencil icon on the venue page to go to the venue edit page. To change the map pin location just drag the pin to the proper spot.
If you’re not the mayor, you’ll need to get the help of a Foursquare superuser. Use the “Report Venue Spelling/Naming Errors Here!“ regional threads below on Foursquare’s GetSatisfaction support site to request a change to the venue. A team of superusers regularly monitors these threads; venue changes requested in any other thread can be overlooked. Provide the full venue URL and list the changes that need to be made.
If the map pin needs to be moved, please provide the correct latitude/longitude. The easiest way to find this is by locating the venue on Google Maps satellite view and right clicking (or ctrl-clicking in Firefox) the proper spot. On the context menu that appears, choose “What’s Here;” a green arrow will appear. Clicking the green arrow will show the latitude/longitude for the spot you chose.
UPDATE (5/26): The threads for duplicates and corrections have now been broken out by continent to make it easier to keep up with the threads on GetSatisfaction. If you have multiple changes to make, please combine them into a single post since only the 15 most recent posts are shown.

Foursquare no longer allows the mayor of a venue to edit it? This is ridiculous because most of the venues are lacking an address and are not named or categorized correctly.
