Ghent and Riga get their city badges
Two new city badges rolled out earlier today. This pair honors Riga, Latvia and Ghent, Belgium.
As usual, the badges can be earned by checking in at five of the places foursquare recommends in each city.
The unlock text for the Ghent badge, City of Three Towers, reads:
Biking over cobblestones and passing Medieval castles on your morning commute? Totally normal. You flock to the Graslei and Korenlei when the weather is nice, and always snag fries from the frituur late at night. Oh, and you Love Techno, right? Vree wijs!
The Riga badge, Gem of the Baltics, may look familiar to you. Its design is based on the winner of a contest to come up with symbols for the badge. The unlock text reads:
Sveiki Riga! You truly are in The Capital of the North with its swingin’ nightclubs, beautiful streets and historic architecture. From the rye bread at Lido to the partying at Piens, what’s not to love? After all, that black balsam really warms the heart.
