German food gets an expertise badge
Like the Oh Tannenbaum badge Foursquare released last weekend, their latest expertise badge is a nod to the strides they hope to make in terms of German penetration. Luckily the Schweinshaxen badge is available to anyone in the world, just for trying out German restaurants.
Like other expertise badges, you can earn level one by checking in five times at the same German restaurant or at three different German restaurants. Level two is unlocked when you’ve visited five different restaurants, and each subsequent level (up to ten) unlocks with every five new venues.
The unlock text reads:
Bratwurst. Eisbein. Sauerkraut. Labskaus. And you can’t resist a good Stammtisch and its schnitzel. Now grab a bier and enjoy the Gemütlichkeit. Guten appetit!
This is Foursquare’s second expertise badge this week, after the Naan-Sense badge released Wednesday. Prior to that it had been six months since Foursquare last launched an expertise badge.
What do you think of the badge?
