Foursquare v3.5 for iPhone makes lists mobile
Since foursquare released their lists feature a few weeks ago, hundreds of thousands of lists have been created. And that was just on the foursquare website, arguably the least important part of the service. Today they’ve brought them to the mobile app (starting with iPhone; Android launches later this week) where they’ll be even easier to use and create.
The mobile version of lists brings a powerful new feature, too: suggested lists. When you’re in a new city, you can pull up foursquare’s suggested lists to find things to do or places to eat from local experts. It’s an incredibly helpful way to find the lists around you.
Just as you can on the website, the mobile app lets you browse lists you’ve created or followed. You can view it as a list (sorted in list order or by nearby venues) or as a map to see how all the venues are related geographically. You’ll also see how close you are to completing each list with the score bar at the top.
You’re not limited to reading lists either. You can add venues to either your standard foursquare to-do list or to any list you’ve created (or a new one, if you’re so inclined). If you spot a place you want to try later in your trip, for example, it’s easy to add that spot to a trip-specific list.
Lists replace the old to-do list tab at the bottom of the app. The old to-do list is now accessible as a regular list.
There is one strange omission to note: you can’t see a user’s lists from their profile within the app, so there’s no easy way to find lists from your friends unless you’re already following them.
Bringing lists from the website to the mobile apps makes them even more useful since so much of the content is tied to your current location. Browsing nearby lists, sorting venues by distance, etc. are all features that makes lists better suited to mobile. I expect we’ll see the use of one of foursquare’s (already) most powerful features grow exponentially with these updates.

What about WP7 App.?
That’s being developed by Microsoft. I wouldn’t expect to see lists anytime soon. You’ll probably see it in 4th & Mayor first.
I know right? I want my metro lists
Why is iOS always first :’( Android FTW!
Just installed 4th and Mayor 2.9 and it doesn’t have lists yet, but it does have push notifications and a live tile!
