Foursquare launches viral site to help make Valentine’s perfect (however you define perfect)

Foursquare today rolled out a new viral site designed to show off the power of their Explore searches by helping people plan the perfect Valentine’s date night.
The Foursquare Dream Date site prompts lovestruck visitors to find a flower shop, a romantic spot or a candy shop. The results open up searches in Foursquare’s desktop version of Explore, which is available to anyone, whether they have a Foursquare account or not.
It’s more nefarious side, Foursquare HATE Night is aimed at the anti-Valentine’s demographic. Instead of romantic spots, Foursquare will help them find Dive Bars, Whisky Bars or Martini Bars. It even suggests they try searching “for ‘debauchery,’ ‘sketchy’ or ‘lone wolf’ to find a dismal corner to lurk in.”
Both sites are designed to be fun and easily shared. They feature a nicely designed logo from Foursquare’s Zack Davenport — even if one of them has been slightly “retouched.”
This should be a fun way for Foursquare to show how powerful their Explore results are to a wider audience than just regular Foursquare users.
