Foursquare is now part of your Klout score (for real this time!)
Last month, Klout quietly added foursquare accounts to the list of social media services you could connect to in order to measure your online influence. At the time, it had no bearing on your actual Klout score while their engineers worked to figure out how best to incorporate it. Today they’ve announced that it’s ready and foursquare is now officially counted toward your Klout score.
Their focus is on tips, since they influence other foursquare users where it’s most important: the point of purchase. Their blog post announcing the addition mentioned some interesting findings by their data scientists with regard to tips:
- More than 2/3 of active Foursquare users post tips.
- These tips have a ready audience with each tip being done, on average, at least once.
- 80% of active users have “done†tips.
You can link your Klout account to foursquare by clicking the foursquare icon on your Klout dashboard. Klout says the results will show up in your score within 72 hours.
My score went up about two points. How did yours fare?
