Foursquare badges lost in glitch
The Twitter is full of reports this morning of people losing all or most of their foursquare badges in an apparent overnight glitch. The badges are being re-awarded and re-tweeted as users check in at relevant spots this morning. Retired badges are not reappearing.
Presumably, this is a temporary glitch that the foursquare staff will be fixing as soon as possible. We’ve reached out to foursquare to see if this is the case and will update this post when we learn more.
UPDATE (9:55 am): Foursquare’s official support account just tweeted that they’re working on a fix and all badges are still intact.

Thanks for the update – it was a shock when I had my first check in of the day and was rewarded 4 badges that I had previously. I hope they can fix it soon!
