Five foursquare specials you can take advantage of this weekend

It’s been a while since we’ve highlighted some foursquare specials, so here are a few that you can take advantage of this weekend just by checking in:

  • Arby’s is offering $2 off any Market Fresh sandwich on your first checkin at that particular Arby’s. That includes their new grilled chicken and pecan salad sandwich. Search for Arby’s to find a store offering the special in your area. You can also follow them on foursquare for tips.
  • Aeropostale is offering $10 off a purchase of $50 or more at select stores. Consult foursquare to find a store with the special near you.
  • Toys ‘R’ Us changes up their specials on a regular basis. This week it’s 25% off all Schwinn bikes and helmets. Search for Toys”R”Us on foursquare.
  • Thorntons — a chain of convenience stores in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee — is offering any size drink for 49 cents (they’re regularly 89 cents) with your foursquare checkin. They do a nice job promoting foursquare on their website, as well. Search for them on foursquare to see if you have a store nearby.
  • Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill is giving away a free kettle chips appetizer when you check in at any of their 67 locations (all in the Eastern US). Search for Smokey Bones to find a location near you.

    I absolutely refuse to eat at Arby’s until they stop with the incredibly annoying commercials. Not that I really ever ate there anyway, but still.

    We don’t even have the last 2… so those are totally out.

    I attempted the Aero one, even tho I checked the special before checking in, and then checked into the right venue, it didn’t pop up on my checkin screen, and when i went back to the venue, the special disappeared…. They also didn’t have a register code to enter…. fortunately the manager did know what was going on and found a way around it (major props to him!) but it still was a little buggy… not sure what it was all about.
