Ever wonder what the people around you are talking about on Twitter? There’s a new way to find out every time you check in thanks to foursquare’s connected apps platform.

Overheardsquare is a simple app that shows you a recent tweet from among the people checked in to the same venue as you. It gives you a very brief glimpse into their lives and what they’re sharing on Twitter. You might even learn something interesting about the place you’re visiting.

We’ll be seeing lots of new additions to the connected apps platform next weekend, when foursquare hosts a hackathon devoted to connected apps on November 3.
