Also, this seems to have changed how connected apps send their own content to Foursquare. (I just noticed this last night; it was the first time I sent an Untappd checkin to Foursquare since the changeover.)

Previously, Untappd’s message (e.g. “Drinking a Michelob Ultra by Anheuser-Busch (ABInBev) on Untappd”) would appear as Foursquare’s shout. After the change, an Untappd-to-Foursquare checkin creates a shoutless checkin with Untappd’s message as a comment.

I wish Foursquare would explain changes better when they make them, so I don’t have to guess what’s still working.

When they took it down (about two weeks before the connected apps launch), I remember someone saying that they were working on a redesign. I’m hopeful that this is only temporary. The old gallery, though, hadn’t had a new addition in almost three months when it was taken down.

So, did anybody else notice the the “Connected Apps” gallery has completely replaced the old apps gallery?

Apparently, Foursquare is only going to promote apps that use the new features.

First one that I saw show up on my screen was “Untappd”

For beer drinkers – how cool is that !?!?

*(Sadly, Untappd doesn’t play with WindowsPhone7 users . . .)

You have to go to your Instagram setting.
Foursquare is listed in your sharing option.
Check it and it will guide you thru app authorization.

I can’t connect Instagram. It just tells me to download the app, which is already on my phone.

I like to use foursquare with Path and Instagram.

The beauty of data aggregation. We have not seen anything yet and when they finally release all that rich data that they have, serendipity will become reality.
