BET & Foursquare launch a badge for Black History Month
February marks Black History Month here in the US. To celebrate, BET has launched a new “Say it Loud” badge to honor users who check in to places historically significant to African Americans.
To unlock the badge, users should like BET and check in at locations important to black history. Users can also suggest new places that BET may have missed. The unlock text for the badge reads:
Thanks for celebrating Black History with us! You’ve checked in at a place that’s part of African-American history – and we’re proud! More info at bet.com/BHM
This badge is scheduled to run until the end of 2013.
Other than design, the Say it Loud badge is identical to the badge launched by the Grio in 2011. Both celebrated Black History Month and required check-ins at places significant in African American history.
