Austria’s Saalbach Hinterglemm region joins the ski badge series
Foursquare’s badge program for ski resorts has finally expanded outside North America with the launch of a new badge for Austria’s Saalbach-Hinterglemm region.
While visiting Saalbach-Hinterglemm, users can unlock the badge by following them on Foursquare and checking in at three of the spots where they’ve left tips. The unlock text reads:
Looks like you’ve stumbled upon our beautiful part of the world. You have earned the Saalbach Hinterglemm badge! Collect a free give away at the Tourist Office and don’t forget to like Saalbach Hinterglemm on Foursquare!
Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a municipality known for its skiing. It features three main areas — Saalbach, Hinterglemm, and Leogang — that comprise the Skicircus, which is why the badge contains a clown.
What do you think of the badge?
