Once again, the US Open rewards tennis fans worldwide with a badge
For the second year in a row, tennis fans will be able to celebrate the US Open by unlocking a special foursquare badge. Not only is it available at the event itself, but foursquare users can also unlock it at any tennis court worldwide.
Like all partner badges, you must be following the US Open to earn the badge. When checking in at any tennis court, the unlock text reads:
You’re now a part of tennis’ biggest stage. World-class athletes, electrifying action, and you! Keep the rally going and enjoy the US Open Tennis Championships!
The US Open has left more than 100 tips at various spots around the tournament site and is checking in with updates as the games progress.
In addition to the US Open itself, several of their partners are getting in on the act with foursquare. Xerox will donate $5 to USTA Serves for each check-in at their booth and American Express is offering a $10 statement credit when you spend $20 or more on site (for synced cardholders). Foursquare is even awarding three bonus points for checking in at the Open.
